Maybe good Buffy didn't caught the fact that Spike is a vampire - at last not Angel trying to tell her that. I think it will "get better" when told by himself.
But it was so much fun to see them make Angel jealous :)

I already told you how much I loved this story, but... I felt the need to tell you again! I love the new spin you've put on Buffy and Spike's first meeting outside The Bronze. I can definitely see something like this occuring, especially with the melding of William and Spike together. :-)

OMG! Absolutely love the take on this story. You're exploring Buffy's first and seemingly inconsequential death in light of the Gift, but I remember her flashbacks popping up somewhere in the series. I was always bothered by the fact that Angel "couldn't" save Buffy and am delighted your Buffy calls him on it as a 16 year-old. Your Spike will definitely shake things up since this is before the "I kill you Saturday" speech. Hope that your upcoming chapters take a Spike POV so we can get to see what his take on pretending to be the Slayer's pretend BF will lead.

And especially now that I've been reading the transcripts of the episodes that led to her death and then seeing how messed up she seemed afterwards, it really makes no sense she would've forgiven Angel so easily.
