Read this some time ago - I really enjoyed the treatment of taking all of them into another dimension - wonderful way to bring in new characters and exotic locations - and I loved how you set up you realm with those wonderful shape shifters and magics and animal social structures that are a little like those we recognize in our own world. That really helped to connect the lessons that Buffy and the Sunnydale group needed to learn.

I think Xander could have had a little more layered treatment but he was such a blockhead so many times in the series - and his not learning anything from his experience does add to the contrast of growth.

Author's Response: Thank you for liking it! New dimensions open up so many possibilities and are so much fun to play with. I know Xander was one-note, but I wanted Anya to have a clear reason to leave him and I also needed a voice of negative opinion on their trip. Xander filled the bill so perfectly. And in canon he never learns anything until Season 7 after he loses Anya. He'll be more layered in the sequel.

I loved it! Very well written. I only wish there was more. Thanks for sharing :)

I don't review that many stories, but this story kept my interest from beginning to end. The other dimension was well developed and the culture of the shifters was great. The only thing I would like to have seen would have been more chapters, I was sorry to see the story end.

Thanks for allowing me to share in your adventure, I enjoyed every word of it.

Such a beautiful story. So many things to love; great dialogue and characterizations, a completely compelling new world and very erotic sex scenes. My favourite thing was how the characters grew and developed, while still keeping to their expected emotional responses. It felt... true. Most of all, I loved, loved, loved this portrayal of Anya. I was cheering her all the way. All of your stories are great, but this one is masterful. Fantastic!

This was wonderful! I absolutely *loved* it.

I adored the Quenya. They were wonderful. So interesting in and of themselves, and yet also so useful for showing Buffy that it's not always about having a soul and being human.

I also liked how your Spike was unapologetic. Very true to the character, I think. He'd do anything for a loved one, but he wouldn't apologize for it.

The human mage was interesting. I liked the things he pointed out to Buffy.

Nice job. I hope you have other stuff I can read!

The Quenya were there to show Buffy that a soul is not really necessary, but I'm so glad you found them interesting in themselves! Thank you! I think Spike is that way too - never sorry for anything he does for love. I have ten other stories posted and another under way. Plus, I'm planning a sequel to this one. I'm really fond of the Quenya!

My dear Dreamweaver, I have read everything Spuffy you have written, that I have found on any Spuffy site, and I have to say that I have enjoyed this one the most bar none, and that's saying something because I like anything you write..................... I would dearly love to see a sequel to this one. I find myself imagining all manner of continuations. .............I want to find out what happens with Anya and Rihar, do they stay together, or do people conspire to tear them apart because she's a different species? Do Angel, Giles and Xander try to take out Spike even though it would kill Buffy? What does the Council do when they find out? Do Buffy and Spike have to go into hiding? Does Rihar open the portal again to gain help from Willow, Tara , Buffy and Spike because of retaliation from other dimentions for aiding the Scooby gang back to their own dimention and ultimately killing Doc and Glorificus???....The possibilities are endless aren't they? And you're just the one to write them. Your imagination and the attention to detail is wonderful. A brand new addition to the Buffyverse. Excellent, excellent, excellent. Can you tell I liked it?::))

I've really become fond of it too and I am working out a plot for another story set there. It will have to wait though until I get my present WIP finished. One hint though: absolutely Anya and Rihar will stay together! I think she deserves to be cherished after years of emotional rejection by Xander.
