Buffy is so insecure now... it took her four days to go after Spike. And the claim affects her even if she doesn't know it. Xander (the holy water) was fun *gg* (even if not for Buffy). Ah Giles got her a book so Buffy will know now what she got in.
And that was the reason Spike didn't show.

Loved it! If I can vote? Epilogue and sequel. (Well your fault: you asked *ggg*. This was too much fun to see it end so soon. But your choice.)

Oh! It worked :) And now everybody has to deal with the aftereffects.
Buffy and Spike didn't notice the spell break first.. still very busy. ;-) And I was right, Spike indeed claimed her. Interesting spell indeed, and a fertility spell too?
Good that Joyce could explain something more to Buffy. So Spike interpreted her feelings wrong, she wanted to get consoled. ~ This was mostly fun (seeing Buffy and Spike so heartbroken not so much) but I'm looking forward to more / aka last chapter :)
Author's Response: Well...not wrong, exactly. And knowing Buffy and Spike, had he stayed, there would have been words that would have made this story longer than the 5 chapter limit I put on it. LOL
