Hey! First i'd like to say that I was really sad to see the Author's note not because of what you wrote or anything (I think you are right about defending yourself and your story) it's the fact that you felt the need to write one that made me sad because it meant that unpleasant flames were sent your way about this story. Next time people, read the warnings, they're there for a reason.
Anyway, about this chapter: Oz was great. I just hope that Spike will remember his words! I'm guessing that he's going to deny having a problem with the bottle... Maybe Joyce would be willing to help him? Well, for that she and Buffy first need to reconcile. Buffy's letter to Spike was spot on! ;-) His reaction to it however wasn't really nice. I have to say that I really didn't see his alcohol problem coming (very craftily done!) it just sneaked up on me as it did on Buffy. Oh I hope that Buffy won't give up on Spike!
Anyway this was a good chapter (kind of one announcing disasters) and I really hope to read some more soon

I'm glad you took the time out to write the author's note for people who just don't seem to understand the way that this fic flows. Either way, you'll always have reviewers who enjoy the way you've written it, including me. I'm anxious to see how their relationship goes past this barrier and can't wait for the next update.
