Excellent - she finally told Spike she loved him (the right Spike). Hopefully all happiness will break out now... dare I think the next chapter will follow them into his crypt and contain much Spuffiness? I'm hoping! Yay. Happy ending (i hope). lol. Great update. I love that Spike loves her so unconditionally so as to accept her without much question. This chapter was so sweet. Happy trip in Germany and Thailand. I think Thailand's pretty hot as in literally but they say there's a lot of shopping to do there. Take care.

The chapter was wonderful. And I do hope that there are many explanations yet to come. And Xander's jaw dropping to the floor is also probably inevitable. And I feel you pain for the lack of internet access. A two week vacation from my Spuffy, now that's one I didn't need. But enjoy your travels... and this, fabulous even without a beta. Didn't notice anything wrong. I'd say update soon, but really, I can wait. :)

I just want to say that I love your story. It's very original and I don't know how you will conclude this story. I just hope that there is no : Spike went to jail to redeem himself. I would much prefer he retires from crime.

I was prepared not to like this and the summery of this does not do it justice at all but it's so well penned I cannot help but to move it into the category of another of my favorite Spuffy writers. Its rare you come across a really juicy story that so completely pulls you in and thin one does from page one and on. I really hope you stick with this for this is a story worth telling and reading. I liked this part the best.

But what was, at first, brutal softened slightly, his tongue beginning to caress hers, and she was hardly aware that they were both clinging to each other.
He pulled back from the kiss, his grip tightening as he demanded, “Helped you with what?”
Her eyes still glazed over, she frowned. “Huh?”

Cause with everything else that is going on there is always a point where these two kinda forget themselves for a little bit. Spike loses himself a little bit and his hurts and anger and lets himself be tender with her. And Buffy for a small bit of time just, I don't want to say forgets her hate towards him but maybe she's forgets for a few moments herself or him or what they have done to each other and just maybe see's a guy she could connect with. I mean there was a attraction at the start and every one in a while like with the see thru waitress you see her watching him with other women so I think there is hope for them. How they will get there I do not know but I so wanna enjoy the ride till they get there.

I have never been so completely blown away by a writer as I am with this story this is the best bit of fiction I've come across in a long time. You should get awards for this it's just that good.
I'm in a jumble to see what will happen when they get back and out of the car I almost want to beg for him to take care of her but that's not fair to ask of any author .
A freind sent me a link to this fic and I'm addicted now
I'll keep looking for more

I give this story a 10 out of 10 Cause it has everything.

Nice update .... an evening out, a little excitement, a bit of insight into how Spike's emotions are pulling him closer and closer to realizing what Buffy means to him. Love the bit with Angelus coming to the rescue (and love how you got Rack in there too!). This gang thing works so well and you write it so perfectly.
And Parker's dead? -- too bad, so sad (not!).
Can't wait for more.

First, I hope finals went well for you. Second, I’ve been checking at least every other day for your next posting and was so excited when you did. I swear to the PTB, if you don’t get some kind of award after you’ve finished this story, I am sooooo gonna go medieval on someone’s buttocks!!!
I agree w/ those whose reviews mention the subtle touches here and there between B/S (you did that on purpose haven’t you, ‘minx’?). You can see that Spike, through subtle gestures, has moved from what started as pure lust to the beginnings of a genuine ‘caring’ (don’t think it’s love just yet) for Buffy. This point is further reinforced during the part where Spike finds Angel w/ Buffy and it being an‘image of a book outta the past’.
Buffy’s little quips (in the car – ‘spend more time w/ you’ and the club – ‘I know how much you like watching me' (LOVED it, lol) are starting to make her Spike’s ‘match’ if only in the verbal arena. Would love to see her at some point actually kicks Spike’s physical a*#. She deserves some satisfaction.
When I look back on the progression of individual change, I see Buffy’s character becoming stronger and stronger, while Spike’s seems to be going almost the opposite. Bad choice of word actually, I only mean that in the sense that Buffy affects him to the point where it seems like Spike has grown gradually more and more obsessive/possessive/protective of her, slowly making him appear weaker and weaker to the gang, (wonder if he’ll grow a real conscience at some point, tee hee).
I think she’ll be his ‘undoing’ in the gangs’ eyes. That he could potentially become sloppy say if he’s the slightest bit distracted by her emotionally, and put them in danger during ‘jobs’. Can’t wait to see Angelus’s dark side exhibit itself at what he cooks up, now that he sees how much Buffy means to Spike. Also can’t wait to see how Spike will deal w/ Buffy after he gets her home.
Oh, Parker died from bleeding to dead, I meant to ask, is it strictly as a result of Buffy’s assault, or is there something/one else responsible? I mean she ‘wasn’t surprised’ so that makes me think someone else delivered the final blow. Cuz otherwise I would assume if she felt responsible, there would have been major guilt/grief on her part.
Keep up the great work, hopefully won’t be too long till chapter 15???

WOW! still loving this story and I'm so gald I found the time to catch up with the last few chapters, so much has happened! Spike seems determined to drag Buffy down to his level, with the whole 'kill Parker' thing...yet, thankfully she's resisted so far...(YAY Buffy!!!!) but how much more can the poor girl take? everything is still so violent...Spike seems to be softening at the speed of a sloth, and it doesn't look as if he'll get the chance to turn things around in the relationship before Angelus makes a move...OH BOY!!! coz clearly he's brewing something nasty....More sex, violence and double dealing...soon, please...Oh, nearly forgot...I loved the flashback stuff, they added real interest to these great chapters...and again...more soon please ;-)

This is the first human fic I've really gotten into, it's very disturbing--I just read it in one sitting and I don't usually read WIPs but now I'm hooked! Don't screw up your finals of course, throw some of this energy over there and when you've kicked their ass, come back over here and kick Spike's a little more :)

The story as a whole is really interesting and credible, while having enough of a danger element to keep someone, such as myself, who usually refuses to read "human" stories entertained. Good writing, good grammer with very few mistakes. I enjoyed the new chapter. Keep em coming!

You'll get no flaming from me. I enjoy the dark side of Spike - that's one of the things that makes him so sexy. In no way do I advocate rape, and I would never want to be raped, of course. I also don't think it would be possible to enjoy it if you are raped. But hey, it's a fantasy - and it's Spike - what more can I say?
