um, yeah, stuff DOES happen in this chapter. We find out that Dawn likes Buffy and wants to be her "friend" and that Spike cares enough about Buffy that he hung around...GOOD STUFF!!!!!!!

I liked it, excited for the spike comoforting buffy falling even more love ness. i didn't hate dawn, i just kinda thought, she was a bit of a twit, at that age especially its hard to see how bad the decisions you make are. liked the chapter alot, enjoyed how you write spike, sort of indifferent to mask the quiet rage thing, update soon, take care

Well I will try and not hate Dawn, she really wasn't a fav of mine.....but I like her in a few fics that people of written her into this was a great little chapie.......shows Hank is the bastard I'd still castrate with a happy smile....Joyce, well she can hang in the pit with at least a dozen pit vipers......I think she is just mad that Hank said it first and was looking for a reason to deck her husband, LOL>

Okay, you just have to transmit the story straight from your brain into my head now because I absolutely cannot wait for you to type and update this story! I am really liking this one a lot - I always like your stories, you have a gift for the whole human AU thing that is just wonderful and just as difficult to find. Coming from a stupid family like Buffy does in this story made me really empathize with her plight. And the part where Hank starts calling her names and she is just so shocked, that was well done. I remember the very second I realized the depth of my family's utter contempt and lack of care for me hit me like a ton of bricks. Prior to that it was just a sad background noise, but you can convince yourself that it isn't quite as bad as it seems for years. But then someone will say something or do something so awful, so completely out of sync with normal family or parental care, and it is just like a sledgehammer. The lie you comforted yourself with all along, the hope that perhaps you were overreacting sometimes or they didn't really mean it all is just ripped away and you are left just as Buffy was - devastated. After that comes the eerie calm of knowing you are cut off from them, that they can't hurt you any more because they have revealed their true selves and you have no further expectations. That's if it plays out all the way. Whatever you do next with Buffy is your story to tell, and I can't wait to see where you go from here. But I wanted to tell you that the whole scene struck me so true that it gave me the wiggins. So to speak. :-) Thanks for sharing this one with us. And really, if the brain transmission thing can be managed, I'm right here. :-)

You need to make these chapters a bit longer, and although it all seems a bit rushed, it's also ok, still a great reaad....first fic I've ever read that was able to accomplish that, so kudos to you :)

OK, I forgot to mention this in my previous review, but Riley is a total asshole. I hope either Buffy or Spike kicks his ass =D It's a little disturbing how submissive Buffy is to Riley, but then I guess that's how you wanted it to be. This story has me really intrigued--I'm looking forward to reading more, so don't you dare stop writing!!!! Really though, we all get bad reviews, I've had a few saying that ppl hate CK and the Buffy I had in it and they don't think Spike should be with Buffy. But people like that don't matter--the rest of us love you and want you to continue the story, or we'll be very sad *puppy eyes*

I'd really like to know exactly what happened between them to make them fall out like they did, but I'm sure you'll tell us =D You handled the flashback very well. It's sooo cute how they both still love each other, although there's obviously some resentment on Spike's side. And don't pay any attention to that Sydney person--I haven't noticed any errors and anyway, she's not your beta, so the idea she has that you have to listen to her is absurd.

I'm very happy that Riley got called away- that should help manners quite a bit. I loved Buffy's reaction to seeing William/Spike again, and I can't wait to see what happens between them in the future. Plus, I love all of the other characters involved so far, and I enjoy seeing how you weave them into the plotline:)

Nice friendship between Spike and Illyria--it is just friendship, right? Loved the bit that Whistler and Eve are related, and maybe it's just awful selfish bitchiness, but I'm rather glad Angel's dead. I'm also glad you brought Conner and Lorne back into the story. And the "Blue and Anya" line had me cracking up, too =D
